We are delighted to announce that alongside DV8 Physical Theatre we are one of 62 recipients of the Arts Council England funded Catalyst award.

The building fundraising capacity scheme is designed to help organisations with little or no experience of fundraising to:

build capacity to address both shared and individual fundraising development needs of consortia members

identify and develop effective fundraising methods that have a long-term impact on the business plan of each organisation

Consortia were able to apply to the fund for grants of between £60,000 and £150,000 for activity over two years. The scheme was open to applications exclusively from consortia so that learning and skills can reach more organisations.

You can read more about the award and the other recipients, including our neighbours Artsadmin, here

NOW CLOSED – THANKS FOR ALL YOUR APPLICATIONS Crying Out Loud are recruiting a Marketing and Audience Development Manager. In February 2013, Crying Out Loud …

NOW CLOSED – THANKS FOR ALL YOUR APPLICATIONS

Crying Out Loud are recruiting a Marketing and Audience Development Manager.

In February 2013, Crying Out Loud was successful in its bid for funding to support a three-year strategic programme of activity touring contemporary circus to ten venues called Circus Evolution. A key aspect of the project is a programme of audience development, marketing support and training/upskilling for venue partners. It aims to build audiences as well as venue confidence and artform knowledge in order to support cross venue partnerships and expand the touring network for circus.

The successful applicant will be pivotal to the delivery of the marketing and audience plans of Circus Evolution.

Circus Evolution is a project that works with ten UK venues and the Marketing Manager will collaborate closely with these venues. Responsibility for delivering the marketing and audience development plan for Circus Evolution will be a major part of the role, but is not seen in isolation, and the Manager will also be responsible for leading on all marketing and audience development for Crying Out Loud.

We are of the view that marketing and audience development are integral to the presentation of work and the postholder will be supported by the Artistic Director and other producers/project managers on the team. Additionally, the Administrator is currently responsible for the generic company marketing including the website, newsletters and other social marketing and the new postholder will work closely with them. This is the first marketing specialist post within the team so the role will also develop our ways of working.

Daring to be different at a time when work for the young was seen as secondary, in 2002 Crying Out Loud set out to trail blaze a new way of thinking about contemporary performance for audiences of all ages. This has led to the creation of work that, far from being secondary, is seminal, serious and something to write home about.

For more information and an application pack please email minnie@cryingoutloud.org

Applications due by 15 April.
