PIPS - Performance in Progress
Developing a hotbed of next generation artists.
PIPS was a scheme to support emerging and mid-career artists with projects that were cross-artform in nature, multi-collaborative, flexible, dynamic, experimental in their ways of working and suitable for audiences of all ages.
• The PIPS were about taking the seed of an idea to enable a process of experimentation, research and development.
• Each one was tailor-made to the needs of the project.
• First a "fragment" was developed, then the next stage was to take the project to the point of viable "production" by providing creative support and by identifying and nurturing partners to support its realisation.
Stretch, Blind Summit, Matilda Leyser, Vex and Inne Goris were all past PIPS-supported projects. Kecca Rocca's Bed is the last in the scheme.
